Skeletons.

I ran into an old friend from Karate and UHS today on the subway, and it was really interesting to see how people have all grown up since high school. It was so great to remember some of those old karate memories. We parted ways at Sheppard Station and I went back on my long journey home.

It got me thinking about other things that happened in the past that I forgot about. Some of the things were good, some of them were...well, less good. It was quite enlightening to remember some of the less pleasent childhood memories, and it kind of reminds you of why you are the way you are today. These memories made me feel more grounded, and more human. The details of the event are of little importance, maybe a bit sad (definitely indicative of some of my present behaviour) but interesting nonetheless.

It's great to acknowledge these things too, at least to see where some fears come from and think about what to do about them. I think these issues can be very empowering or disabling, depending on the person. I've seen a lot of people use their bad experiences as justification for the way they are. It's too bad that it is taken that way, but hopefully after dealing with the trauma or dramatic experience for a bit eyes will be openned.

Anyways, I just thought it was interesting to remember these things, and I thought I'd mark it with a blog. ^_^
