Rant on Physical Geography

Alright...so here I am, trying to finish my physical geography lab, and I cant frigging figure it out! They make all these lab questions so vague! For example...

"Why are bedrock exposures rare in southern Ontario?"

Now...there are so many possible answers for this. And we've been given maps and stuff to figure it out. I've done some research, and I've concluded that it's possible that because of glacial drift, there is rare to find bedrock exposures in southern ontario. This means that when the ice age happened, the glaciers came, retreated, then when melting, brought other soils types that covered the bedrock.

Sounds about right to me, however, it could also be that other soils were brought by wind and water, and then deposited on the bedrock, and other soils then developed after vegetation developed, and thus created new soils that covered the bedrock.

Or there's the possiblity that these exposures are rare simply because the wind and water have evened the soil out to spread and cover the bed rock.

Or there's the possiblity that the pleistocene sediments have filled up the bedrock holes as they were unstable and filled up the dundas valley which was all bedrock. BLAH BLAH BLHA LBHA LBAH!

Why do they give me so many possiblities? They're all somewhat valid...University blows in that respect. This lab is also 4% of my mark...which is also rather irritating. I think I'm getting about 70% in this course right now...until the test on next thursday...then it'll probably drop.

Oh man...I've read so much about this Niagra Escarpment that I'm going to explode...Well, at least if I ever visit it...I'll be able to identify the soil types...YAY!.....

Oh yes, and I can also tell people how it formed and such! Which was kinda neat to learn about...cause well, I am a nerd...what can I say. I like the damn nature-type learning...kill me now.

I've been working on this for 2 days...2 days! How the heck is it taking so long...

Aiya...oh well, time to go finish this bitch and start studying for midterms.

Oh yes, and I was reading some chinese proverbs the other day that were really quite fun. My favourite one at the moment is..

"Wise man does not stand under collapsing wall."
