But I do feel compelled to be nicer now, at least I got that from the peoples talkin..
I dun believe in god anymore than before, in fact...I believe less in it because of the people. No offense or nothin' to the people, and its not like the thing was bad or anything, but its just what everyone was saying, i was thinking, and I could come up with a reasonable reason for everything happening the way it did, and ya kno. I do see how some people need it to be strong and fight for life, but there are better reasons to live (in my opinion). I dont think you should live for god, I think you should live for friends and family. Even if you do live eternally in the best place ever after you die, you should live to make your friends and family happy while you're on earth, assuming you believe in Heaven, I dont really personally. There is more to life than materialism, yes. I completely agree, BUT materialism helps us get through this boring life. And true, you cant take your possessions with you after you die, but who said we have to be so selfish? Why cant we think about our loved ones and how they will benefit from all the stuff after we go? I know thats not the point the speakers were making, but this is just another view of things is all i'm saying. I will not dedicate my life to god, or doing god's bidding, or whatever. I will dedicate my life to helping people, and being there for those that I love. I think that is more important than my happiness in the end, and to keep the people I love happy, I get materialistic things. Maybe I'm just not thinkin as 'spiritual' as christians. But thats the way i think, meh?
